The Filmanthropist Project invites filmmakers — from first-timers to pros — to capture stories about the great things people are doing to build better communities. Award-winning Minnesota filmmaker Jesse Roesler founded the Filmanthropist Project to create a forum for documenting and celebrating philanthropic work in action.

Films were judged by a panel of seasoned filmmakers, and the top 10 films were screened at a theatrical awards event in December 08.
